Limb deformities occur either due to congenital problem or acquired problem. Congenital problem may be either in the form of dysplasia or due to growth arrest. Acquired problem is most commonly due to fractures and infections. Majority of this limb deformities are corrected with a technique with osteotomy where bone is broken and set in a right position and fixation with either nail or a plate and screws. In children the growth modulation can be done by arresting the growth of ½ of the growth plate. But the deformity correction will be done in many planes, for which investigations, limb length scannogram and analysis of mechanical and anatomical axis along with rotational deformity are assessed and appropriate measure undertaken to correct them.
